Engine Room and Mechanical Systems

Featuring super-dependable and reliable Yanmar power coupled with bulletproof ZF pod drives. This system was originally ordered for the builder to see if they could overcome the historical issues experienced by other pod/engine systems.   The Yanmar 8LV370 power and ZF pods (the drive of choice for commercial operators such as tugs) are a huge improvement – very desirable, easily serviceable and unique)….but alas more expensive (a $75,000 upgrade) .   Of note is the extra speed offered by these 370 hp engines over the typical Volvo 300 IPS engines.

This owner has meticulously serviced all systems including the engines, pods and genset.   Note the cooler maintenance and fuel filtration upgrades not found on other yachts.

Access to the engine room is through a large cockpit deck hatch. A concealed, telescoping ladder is located forward.   There is plenty of lighting and adequate space to service everything. Note a forward area for storage and other equipment.
