Back Cove Yachts

Back Cove Yachts are proudly built in Rockland, Maine. Prior to the introduction of these well built "Downeast" express cruisers in 2003, the production facility was known as North End Composits and prior to that, North End Marine. In 1994 North End Marine was acquired by Sabre Yachts of Raymond, Maine. While Sabre Yachts were known as a quality semi-custom sail and powerboat builder, North End Marine was a major builder of marine molds and production fiberglass parts. The company's name changed to North End Composits in 1996 and today the facility, in addition to producing the Back Cove product, is used for the production of fiberglass hulls and decks for Sabre's larger sail and powerboat models.

Originally introduced as a 29' Hard Top model, the Back Cove line has now grown to include a 26' Open and Hard Top model, a 29' Open model, 33' Hard Top model and the new 37' Hard Top being introduced in early 2009. With the traditional spoon bow and her gently sloped transom, these models turn heads in any harbor they enter. Below the surface, Back Coves are modern and contemporary. With a deep-vee hull and prop recess, all our models offer classic design, guality construction, seaworthiness and economy, a rare find in today's "Cookie Cutter" world of boat production.
